Role

Duration
7 Month

Overview
‘Career Bridge’ is a recruiting platform that helps job seekers learn from senior professionals and apply for jobs. Our team, consisting of one professor and three students, was in charge of planning the admin tool for Career Bridge before the service launch.
We defined key data to be displayed, designed the admin interface, and produced FRD document with faculty guidance.Through meetings with representatives from Major Map(Client of this project), we refined the features and documentation, and officially concluded the planning phase with a project kickoff.
Goal
Through discussions with the client, MajorMap, we defined the core goal of the admin tool. The aim was to build an advanced admin system that enables more systematic operations and supports step-by-step achievement of business objectives, particularly in service management and revenue growth.
Based on this goal, we structured the tool around three strategic pillars:
Operations Management – Managing essential service operations such as user data, user restrictions, and cs handling.
Service Activation – Driving service engagement through metrics, push notifications, and data-driven user segmentation.
Revenue Enhancement – Supporting monetization by managing paid users, tracking revenue, and handling pricing strategies across B2B and B2C.
Competitive Analysis
We researched several competitors’ admin tools and dashboard designs for inspiration. Here are some of our key findings:
Data Priorities Differ by Service
Each service surfaced different types of key data through their admin tools. For us, it was crucial to define the unique KPIs, core data points, and user goals specific to our service—especially considering the varied needs of planners, marketers, and other stakeholders.
Structuring for Usability
Because the tool had to present a large volume of diverse data effectively, we organized related information into categorized menus and designed a navigation bar to ensure easy access across all sections.

Functional Requirements Document (FRD)
As part of the project, a detailed Functional Requirements Document (FRD) was created to define the admin tool screen by screen. The document included comprehensive page layouts, feature descriptions, and interaction flows, providing clear development guidelines throughout the implementation process.
Due to confidentiality, design deliverables are not included in this portfolio.

Reflection
What I learned from designing the admin tool
Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of how admin tools support service operations by extracting and organizing essential data. I realized that clearly defining KPIs and user goals is critical to shaping dashboards that deliver real value.
We focused not only on how data is visually presented, but also on how it would be interpreted and utilized by planners, marketers, and support teams. This experience highlighted the importance of data-driven design—where every interface decision is grounded in actual usage scenarios and business needs. It was a valuable opportunity to bridge UX design with operational strategy.
